Ayatullah Murwarid was born in a family known for its religious background. His late father shaykh Muhammad Reza (1299-1338 A.H.) was known for his piety and devotness, and his late paternal uncle, shaykh Ali Akbar who was a student of Muhammad Kadhim Khuraasaani, were related to the same family. Khawajah Shihab al-Din Abdullah Murwarid Kermani (865-992 A.H.), a well known learned of his era and a famous writer, is the paternal grandfather of Ayatullah Mirza Hasan Murwarid, while Ayatullah shaykh Hansan Ali Tehrani (d.1325 A.H.), an eminent student of Mirza Muhammad Hasan Shirazi Kabir, is his maternal grandfather. Two eminent masters of Ayatullah Murwarid were Ayatullah shaykh Hasan Ali Isfahani and shaykh Hashim Qazweeni.
The major part of Ayatullah Mirza Hasan Ali Murwarid’s studying was with Ayatullah Agha Mirza Mihdi Isfahani. He continued his studying with him until the end of Mirza Mihdi Isfahani’s life. Two years after his master’s death, he began to teach the kharij stage in fiqh. This lasted some fourty years. He also introduced many researches on divine knowledge from which many scholars could have benefit.
"Notices of origin and resurrection" is one of the remarkable books written by this eminent personality to which one may refer with pride. This book consists Islamic beliefs in tawheed (unity) and attributes, creating human soul, man’s deeds, the destiny and returning towards Allah, and other subjectes related to dogmatic issues which include principles and branches.
In the present time, his eminence Ayatullah Mirza Hasan Ali Murwarid is busy in teaching and upbringing religious students and guiding people in the holy city of Mashhad.
