Do you believe that Christian/Muslim political, economic and social tension will ever be resolved? How? By Christian, I take it you mean the secular world (which has a largely Christian population but does not necessarily put into practise the principles taught by Jesus (a.s.)).

If the relationship of oppressor / oppressed or relationships of political/economic expediency are ever abandoned in favor of just and fair dealing then how could there be any tension. Tensions exist because of injustice. Conflict occurs when deliberate mis-information is used to create division because one side or the other seeks political/economic gain, and religion can be used as a tool to rally people to one side or the other. This has little to do with the teachings of the religion but everything to do with Machiavellean politics where any means will do so long as the desired end is achieved. So I think current tensions are the result of unjust secular forces and the role of religion is an ancilliary and reactive role.
